Welcome
The club was formerly known as Paveley Harriers and was formed in 1975. Over the years the club has become one of the well known clubs in Kwazulu-Natal and has taken an active part in athletics in the province. Toti A.C. as it is commonly known with its distinctive orange, white and black colours operates from Hutchison Park in Amanzimtoti and can boast excellent facilities used as a club base, 400m grass track and a scenic Cross Country course. The club together with KZN athletics has in fact over recent years hosted two South African X-C championships and hosts a league meeting every year and quite often the KZN champs. The club has a membership in the region of 200 members who take part in all aspects of athletics i.e. X-C, Track & Field, Walking and Road Running. The club can boast a number of provincial representatives and even a Junior Springbok.
Club Activities
- Time Trials
Every Wednesday evening time trials will be held for both runners (18:00) and walkers (17:30). It consists of an 8 km as well as a 4 km route. It will start and end at Hutchinson Park. All individual times will be accurately recorded by members on duty. - Pipe-line
Every Saturday morning walkers (05:30) and runners (06:00) are taking part in an early morning social run that will take you on a scenic route from Hutchinson Park along our beachfront and back. The total distance is approximately 11 km. Tea and biscuits are served afterwards to all. - Club runs
These are normally run on early Sunday mornings with the aim to offer a long distance run to members who are not taking part in a race elsewhere. The distances and starting venue will differ from time to time as decided by the Club Captain. Backup vehicles will be patrolling the route offering refreshments and any other related roadside assistance.
Walkers
Toti AC walkers form an integral part of our club and is a vibrant and committed group of walkers actively participating in Time Trials and official races. In addition to the scheduled Pipeline and Time Trials events there is also training on Thursdays (from canoe club) starting at 17:30.
