Welcome to Amanzimtoti Athletics Club

The club was formerly known as Paveley Harriers and was formed in 1975. Over the years the club has become one of the well known clubs in Kwazulu-Natal and has taken an active part in athletics in the province. Toti A.C. as it is commonly known with its distinctive orange, white and black colours operates from Hutchison Park in Amanzimtoti and can boast excellent facilities used as a club base, 400m grass track and a scenic Cross Country course. The club together with KZN athletics has in fact over recent years hosted two South African X-C championships and hosts a league meeting every year and quite often the KZN champs. The club has a membership in the region of 200 members who take part in all aspects of athletics i.e. X-C, Track & Field, Walking and Road Running. The club can boast a number of provincial representatives and even a Junior Springbok.

Goss & Balfe Sapphire Coast Marathon

This year’s marathon and half marathon which take’s place on the 16th October will be run/walked from Hutchison Park. Unfortunately there will be NO FREE TRAIN RIDE this year due to the recent floods in Amanzimtoti that has washed our railway line away in several places. Metro rail have informed us the repairs will take 2-3 months, however should it be repaired prior to the race we will include the free train ride to the start.

Amanzimtoti AC apologizes to all the Athletes but this is beyond our control and hopefully you will all join us once again in celebrating our 40th year of road running and race walking.

The race will take place and the 21km will go out to Illovo and back and the 42km will go out to Ilfracombe and back to Hutchison Park.

We are offering this very popular race once again and athletes will receive a medal and the first 2000 early bird entries a short sleeve Tshirt for the 21km and a long sleeve Tshirt for the 42km.
The race is a Two Oceans and Comrades qualifier.
